Recollect twice before ownership a Prommy barrel

The other day I happily unpacked my new Prommy EG butt and was baffled when I saw the tiny ass hop window. I tried to install my ML bucking - no chance. Not to mention flat hop. I sold it correct away, with a little loss, and bought a Mad Bull.

Everybody says Prometheus barrels are the shit. Do their hop windows vary from old to new, or was I simply unlucky to get a badly manufactured i?

No one has mentioned that there are a lot of apocryphal Prometheus barrels that squeeze their way into circulation. I believe it was Brill Armory that was selling them past accident amongst other stores.

Yous are the very showtime perso who said Prometheus barrels are not good in 15 years. Possibly it doesn't work with what yous have in heed. I have normal hopup condom solutions and my Prometheus barrels work perfectly with those.

Ok, allow me put it in proper English. I mean, everybody says Prommy barrels are great. Aye, with normal hop up it works fine. Just unfortunately not with apartment hop.

I've had no issues with this barrel. Maybe it'southward just you lot. I'd only r-hop the barrel so utilise the flat hopped bucking

Nah. I've had nix problems with their normal ones and the krytac line. If I had more money I'd go pdi though

Weird because I'm using a Maple Leafage bucking with a Prometheus barrel with no issue.

I got mine with a r-hop patch pro-installed. Damn fine barrel!

I take the aforementioned issue. I take an ICS CXP UK1 with maxx model new hop up unit. I got a prommy 6.03 455mm barrel with a Maple leaf bucking and omega nub and information technology was terrible. Extremelly low fps and precision. The windows size is small and the ML bucking shape wasn't getting inside the windows correctly. I had someone with experience make a sugru r-hop with a flat bucking and it was nonetheless bad. Feeding effect and hop effect. With no hop it is going directly down, with a minor hop information technology goes all the way up. There is no fine aligning. Sometimes after removing the hop information technology all the same goes all the way upwards.

I don't know what else to practice. The nozzle is maxx model for the ICS, as is the piston head and cylinder caput. I was thinking about getting the prommy bucking. Simply I don't know anymore....

Get the R-hop patch from eBay. But look for Prometheus R-hop. Sugru is not a good option from what I've heard. Maple Leaf doesn't work with Prommy butt. It'south designated for R-hop. What nub are yous using in your Maxx chamber?

I'm guessing that your Prommy barrel has a Krytac type hop-up window, they make Krytac specific barrels for some empty-headed reason, I had the exact same feel as you. Installed an ML rubber in my Thou&1000 UMP with stock barrel, worked nicely, and so installed ane in my ICS M4 that has a Prommy butt (that I subsequently discovered is Krytac type) and it wouldn't even feed properly and the range and accuracy was meh. With a Dremel and/or file information technology shouldn't be too difficult to make the hop-up window bigger, that's what I'1000 gonna practice, just haven't gotten around to information technology still.

I didn't dare to file a 60$ dollar barrel. I think R-hopping would be a good alternative.

The Krytac cut prometheus barrels have a larger cut hop window then the standard version, not a smaller one.

madbull steelbull are pretty good barrels. likewise as ZCI.

I did, but can't do information technology myself. So doesn't anybody where I alive. Could have ordered a patch from eBay mayhap.
